    Buspisal (Buspar) was approved in 1986 for generalized anxiety disorder, and became available in generic form in 2001. Buspar effects both Serotonin and Dopamine and is a combination of the Piperazine and Azapirone chemical classes. Piperazine was used in medicine initially as a solvent for uric acid while Azapirones are a compound also used in antipsychotics. Buspar and is not recommended for patients with glaucoman, asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions, diabetes or severely compromised liver and/or renal function.
